On the name NOTES
In perfumery, scents are categorized by notes, as in top, middle, and base notes. The top notes are what your olfactory nerve picks up as the first scent and they are more diffusive, meaning that that don't linger as long as middle and base notes. Middle notes linger a bit longer than top notes and become noticeable after that first whiff. Base notes last the longest and are the primary scent after the dry down of your perfume. Together, all of these notes make up the beautiful orchestras and harmonies of perfumery.
Natural perfumery is emotional
Scents draw out the goodness of life. They elicit emotions and memories. Scents touch something deep within us. They affect us on a subconscious level and create moods such as upliftment, nostalgia, joy, peace, calming, soothing, grounding, love, nurturance, passion, comfort, wellbeing, and decadence.
On the descriptions
Just like with the lyrics of a song, everyone will have their own interpretations.
On the Limited Edition items
There was a very special purveyor of exquisite essential oils from around the world. The company was called White Lotus Aromatics and the man running the show was Christopher McMahon. Christopher spent decades traveling the world on quests to source the highest quality and most authentic essential oils. His melanges and single oils were some of the best in the world. He closed up shop in 2020. I spent years collecting single essential oils and melanges from WLA. My Limited Edition Perfumes and Colognes use oils from WLA and when they are gone, they are really gone. Don't miss your chance to try these very limited scents. The world of perfumery will miss them when they are gone. The oils supplied by White Lotus Aromatics were absolutely TRUE TREASURES!
